The bases each fit into separate compartments and the shafts are separated by integrated sleeves to keep them from bumping into each other. The bag's heavy-duty, weather-resistant exterior, piping-reinforced edges, and padded interior work together to protect gear from damage. For efficient packing and unpacking, the two-pull zipper fully opens and closes at either end or any point between.
